Chilli Con Carne. Mario Aquilina from Malta gave this to Freda...it's the best ever Chilli Con Carne,
| 1lb mince beef | |
| 1 tin chopped tomatoes | |
| 2 tins chilli kidney beans | |
| garlic (4cloves) | |
1 onion![]() | |
| 1 teaspoon black pepper ground | |
| 1 green red & yellow peppers | |
| 1 teaspoon chilli powder | |
| 1 teaspoon chilli seeds | |
| 1 pt water |
Method:
Fry the onion and garlic for 1 minute then add the mince beef and cook until brown. then add the black pepper, cook for minute then add the tomato puree. Add the chopped tomatoes and the chilli kidney beans cook for 2mins then add the chilli powder and chilli seeds cook for another 2 minutes. then add the chopped green red and yellow peppers and stir until well mixed. cook for about 3 minutes then boil 1 pint of water and add it to the chilli stirring until well mixed, bring chilli to the boil and then simmer until the mixture starts to thicken after about 20 minutes. and "VOILA" DELICIOUS CHILLI CON CARNE.
Serve with Rice.
