I had a great time. Paddy Moore, chef extraordinaire, put on a wonderful 3 course meal for about 10 of us. He makes the best soup in the world and his recipes are a wonder to behold. The next morning he prepared breakfast and refused to give me a cup of tea. Everyone else had tea but not me. He went to the fridge and pulled out two cans of cider. He said: "You can have tea anytime with your breakfast, today your having cider." Who am I to complain! We had a bike  ride out to Kilkenny from Carlow. Jimmy was struggling to keep up on his Kawasaki 900. I was riding a Honda fireblade on loan from Patsy. We called into my brother's pub in Kilkenny where they was a traditional Irish band playing. The craic was mighty. Later it was back to Carlow to celebrate a surprise 40th for Loretta Ralph. Justin, provided the music into the early hours of the morning. We also spent time in Castledermot with Frank and family. Frank had just come back from The Isle of man TT. This was the year in which  David Jefferies was tragically killed during  practise.
