I have been bearish on the markets since April 23 2003. Nothing I have seen since then has changed my perception regarding the overall direction. The fundamentals haven't changed. On the contrary; with weakening consumer confidence and the possibility of deflation gripping both the US and Europe, the outlook is for a weakening global economy. The bond market is indicating 0% interest rates within the next 5 years across the USA and Europe. Do not be too keen to lock long- term into current, what appear to be historical low interest rates...they will go lower!
